The Florida Association for Media and Education (FAME) Jim Harbin Student Media Festival was held in Orlando, Florida on October 21, 2016. This festival was created in honor of Jim Harbin, a former consultant with the Florida Department of Education, who originated the idea of a statewide student media festival to recognize the excellent work being done across the State of Florida by student media producers.
