Recognition of Jennings Middle School Student Janae Huff for Heroism in Support of our Community (Chief of Schools)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Janae was sitting in class next to a boy who was eating a piece of candy that became lodged in his throat causing him to choke. Janae saw the look of distress on his face. She immediately began performing the Heimlich Maneuver and dislodged the candy from his throat. She was a true hero in a crisis situation and saved the student's life.
