Employee Wellbeing Update (Human Resources Division)
|With the mission of delivering an employee wellbeing program that inspires the Hillsborough County Public Schools community to be healthy, self-sufficient, and resilient, the Employee Benefits Department introduces “Wellbeing 4U – Get Connected.” This program will reinforce the dimensions of wellbeing (Physical, Emotional, Financial, and Social), by supporting an increased understanding and participation of wellbeing offerings. We will focus on creating a comprehensive communication plan, implementing stakeholder focus groups, creating an annual health and wellbeing metric scorecard, and developing a champion network throughout 2017.
Beginning January 1, 2017, Humana’s wellness program (focusing on the Physical dimension of wellbeing), was rebranded Go365. Formerly known as Humana Vitality, Go365 rewards employees for engaging in healthy behaviors such as preventive health screenings. New in 2017, all benefit-eligible employees, including those who opt out of the District's health insurance, are eligible to participate in Go365. The health and wellbeing of all employees is of the utmost importance.
• Engage and communicate with families and stakeholders • Continuously improve processes and systems • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: No)
Effectiveness of the wellbeing strategy will be measured in year one by participation rates; year two will be measured by employee satisfaction; and year three will be measured by the impact on health outcomes.
