SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with Center for Assessment, Strategic Planning, Evaluation and Research (CASPER) for the Evaluation of the Woodmont Charter School, 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant (Office of Teaching and Learning)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The district, required by the Florida Department of Education to be the fiscal agent, supports Woodmont Charter School's 21st Century Community Learning Center grant to create a community learning center that provides academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for 120 economically disadvantaged students in grades 3 through 8.  This agenda item approves the evaluator services for the first year - 2016/2017.  Grant evaluation services include the following: measuring the success of the grant-supported activities, data collection, and data submission throughout the program year as well as an annual performance evaluation report.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $14,706.00 will be available in the evaluation line of the 21st Century Community Learning grant budget. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 3125. As of Tuesday, February 14, 2017, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $329,087.00.
EVALUATION
The Coordinator of Grant Evaluations, Department of Assessment and Accountability, has direct supervision of the selected external evaluator.  The Coordinator oversees the evaluation activities, tracks progress, and ensures reporting compliance as well as transmission of all required reports to the funding agency.
