| Accept the Highest Ranked Responsive, Responsible Bid Submitted by American Chemical & Building Maintenance Supply, Inc. - Invitation to Bid (ITB) #16155-MST Floor Finish Systems (Business Services Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| This bid was requested by the Custodial Operations Department for the purchase of a floor finish system to include floor finish, floor finish remover, neutral cleaner, and floor restorer to be used on hard floor surfaces at various sites throughout the district. This ITB was conducted in multiple phases. Products were first evaluated by an Evaluation Committee and subjected to performance testing, which included monitoring for yellowing, shine, and ease of removal. The district Safety Office also analyzed products for their toxicity levels and safety to students and district personnel. Additional points were then added for pricing, based on a scale with the most points awarded to the lowest acceptable bid. This recommendation has been reviewed by the Custodial Operations Department Manager.
The initial term of this agreement shall be for a one-year period, with four one-year renewals. There is a 30-day termination for convenience clause included in this contract. All prices offered are firm against any increase for at least one year from the effective date. This contract will be reviewed and evaluated annually and may be renewed by the Superintendent, per the terms of the specifications. |
