| Accept the Two Highest Ranked Proposals Submitted by TransDiesel of Lakeland Incorporated (Primary) and Reliable Transmission Service Incorporated (Alternate) - Request for Proposals (RFP) #16156-DST Remanufactured School Bus Transmissions (Business Services Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| On January 12, 2017, Procurement Services, in conjunction with the Transportation Department, issued an RFP for qualified firms to provide warranty work on new Allison Transmissions and deliver remanufactured Allison Transmissions, as needed. Three vendors responded to the RFP and their proposals were reviewed by a committee of district personnel. The committee recommended awarding the highest-ranked vendor as primary and the next ranked vendor as alternate, as allowable under Florida Department of Education 6A-1.012(9) Purchasing Policies.
The initial term of the contract is for one year beginning March 8, 2017, with four additional one-year renewal options. All prices offered are firm against any increase throughout the first year of the contract. This contract will be reviewed and evaluated annually and may be renewed by the Superintendent per the terms of the specifications. |

| EVALUATION | |
| Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Senior Procurement Officer, who function as at team. Reviews are performed annually or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. | |
