| Recognition of the Finalists and Winners of the 2016/2017 Hillsborough County 4-H Tropicana Public Speaking Contest (Office of Teaching and Learning) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| On March 8, 2017, 16 Hillsborough County Public Schools fourth and fifth grade students competed in the 2016/2017 4-H Tropicana Public Speaking Contest District Finals. Six students were awarded first, second, and third place: two students received honorable mention; and eight students were finalists. There were approximately 13,000 fourth and fifth grade students from 82 elementary schools that competed in school-level competitions.
