Approve Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hillsborough Community College (HCC) for Career Pathways Initiatives (Workforce Connections)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We request approval of the MOU with HCC to receive a maximum of $30,000 and not less than $15,000 of Carl D. Perkins funding, which is designated for programs that educate high school students, teachers, and counselors on the technical programs offered by HCC.  The funds will be used for instructor stipends, student/staff transportation, and supplies.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Hillsborough Community College will provide a maximum of $30,000 and not less than $15,000 from their Carl D. Perkins Grant to the district to support these activities for the school year 2017/2018.  If approved, these funds will be allocated to various objects in Project 3340 and expended by June 30, 2018.
EVALUATION
In 2016/2017, over 400 high school students attended the HCC Career Quest.  This agreement will be evaluated by the Department of Career and Technical Education based on the number of students who participate in the career pathways programs.
