Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with Alma Advisory Group, LLC  (Alma Advisory) (Academic Support and Federal Programs Division)
Student Services will continue to build capacity to strategically plan and coordinate student service delivery to meet the needs of the diverse student population served across Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS). Particular emphasis will be placed on providing a swift, targeted response when there is a risk or indication of potential violence surrounding a school.

Consultants from Alma Advisory will work with student services personnel to devise and implement systems of support designed to provide for the unique needs presented in each of the district's eight geographical areas, as well as provide for the needs of the students identified within each of the schools.  Support and coaching will further strengthen the function and impact student services personnel play in supporting the role of Area Leadership Teams.  As a result, a transparent, high-level standard for the district and site-based student services operations and support will be created to bolster the district's vision and mission for building strong school cultures and preparing all students for life.
All Strategic Objectives
Funds in the amount of $45,000.00 will be available in the Project Prevent Grant approved budget. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 3110. As of Tuesday, May 09, 2017, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $45,000.00. This amount is approximately 6 percent of $750,000.00 for year 3 budget allocation.  The scope of work with Alma Advisory allows for gradual release of intensity of support provided and the strengthening of internal capacity so the impact of these efforts can be sustained after the grant funding ends.
Under the terms of the grant, an external evaluator, contracted by HCPS, will evaluate the project, providing annual reports to the project directors, the Office of Assessment and Accountability, and the United States Department of Education.  Copies of the report and the final evaluation report will be provided annually to HCPS and the Office of Assessment and Accountability.  Alma Advisory boasts consultants with a proven track record of providing lasting results while improving the district's way of work.
