Approve Teacher Evaluation Handbook with a Revised Single Evaluator Designation (Revised Attachment Page 18 - Added Teacher Evaluation Review Procedure)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
For the 2016-2017 school year, a single evaluator evaluation system was instituted. The revised Teacher Evaluation Handbook represents the current way of work. Teacher effectiveness is the most influential factor to impact student achievement. Our goal is to promote innovative and effective teaching in every classroom, every single day. Supporting teachers to excel as professionals through a focus on a site-based system of support at every school, students will achieve more and be prepared for life after graduation. (Handbook copy attached.)
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Improve the high school graduation rate • Provide a student-centered learning environment that engages every child • Recruit, support, and retain a highly effective and diverse workforce • Develop, recognize, and reward employees • Develop a culture of respect, trust, and collaboration • Continuously improve processes and systems • Establish a strong foundation of financial stewardship
