District and School-Based Unit Allocation Trends (Deputy Superintendent)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
To support the district's commitment to financial stewardship, the Office of Strategy Management has prepared this information item to provide context and summary data related to unit allocations.   Working with Planning & Related Services, both district and site-based units have been reviewed to demonstrate change in allocations among categories as well as over time. This data demonstrates where unit reductions and re-distributions have occurred in recent years.  Additionally, the data highlights recent efforts to align appropriate funding sources while right-sizing unit allocations for sustainability.

This work was accomplished through the collaborative efforts of the business and strategy teams.
EVALUATION
This work will be evaluated through regular updates to the Board and district leadership about unit allocations, right-sizing, and organizational efficiency initiatives.  Additional efforts to improve the unit allocation process and implement sustainable allocation practices will continue in 2017-2018.
