Recognition of the Newsome High School Concert Band for Achieving Straight Superior Ratings at the Florida Bandmaster's Association State Music Performance Assessments Festival (Office of Teaching and Learning)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Newsome High School Concert Band was awarded a superior rating from each adjudicator at the State Central Concert Band Music Performance Awards Ceremony held at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center on April 27, 2017.  Newsome High School received the Otto Kraushaar Award from the Florida Band Masters Association.  This prestigious accolade is granted to high school band programs that receive only superior ratings from the Marching and Concert Band Music Performance Assessments.
