Approve Acceptance of Project for Lamb Elementary School
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Lamb Elementary School was built within the Magnolia Park Subdivision on property owned by the School Board adjacent to Progress Village Middle Magnet School to support recent and future growth impacting Ippolito and Frost Elementary Schools.  The school was designed to achieve Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification, and opened in August 2015 for the 2015-2016 school year.

On July 30, 2013, the Board appointed Holmes Hepner & Associates Architects, Inc. and Batson-Cook Company to provide design and construction management services.

The design professional has certified that the work is complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board Acceptance.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Establish a strong foundation of financial stewardship • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health • Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $21,687,560.00 will be available in the Impact Fees fund. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 8573. As of Tuesday, June 6, 2017, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $2,264,746.50.
