Approve New Job Descriptions to Provide Support for Students with Disabilities (SWD)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The following job descriptions are new and reflect the adjustments in the scope of work needed to support SWD with complex intense needs.
  • Coordinator, Behavior Analyst
  • Coordinator, Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Specialized Transportation
The placement of positions will be based on student need as documented on their Individual Educational Plan (IEP).
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Improve the high school graduation rate • Recruit, support, and retain a highly effective and diverse workforce • Develop a culture of respect, trust, and collaboration • Engage and communicate with families and stakeholders • Establish a strong foundation of financial stewardship • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Any financial implications will be funded by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Part I or in the case of reassignment, funded by Part I with a cost savings.
