Acknowledge the American Heart Association and its Long Standing Partnership with their Commitment to Heart Health and Wellness Initiatives Throughout the District (Outreach and School Improvement) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
In the past year, HCPS leadership has been dedicated and devoted to working with the American Heart Association (AHA) on various heart initiatives that will benefit students, parents and the community. The Superintendent and the School Board has been recognized nationally for their innovative practices that not only aid the AHA in their mission to end heart disease and stroke, get kids active and healthy, but also fosters a culture of service-learning to this important cause in our school communities. During the 2016-17 school year, Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) has exceeded expectations and benefitted in the following ways:
