Approve Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hillsborough Community College (HCC)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The purpose of this MOU is to delineate the responsibilities of HCC and Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) in a coordinated effort to alleviate the shortage of qualified Medical Laboratory Technologists in the greater Tampa Bay Region. HCC will offer an Advanced Technical Certificate (ATC) for bachelors degreed Medical Laboratory Scientists/Technologists on the campus of Erwin Technical College.  HCPS students at Erwin will have access to updated medical laboratory equipment as well as the use of HCC’s Medical Simulation suite at the Dale Mabry Campus.
