Approve the Agreement for Contracted Services between the Center for Technology and Education and the English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Online Consortium for 2017/2018 | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The ESOL Online Consortium, consisting of Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Sarasota, and Seminole school districts, is requesting approval for contracted services with the Center for Technology and Education to enable the district to meet ESOL Consent Decree requirements inclusive of teacher certification that impacts Full-Time Equivalency (FTE) weighted funding. The ESOL online courses will be provided at no cost to consortium members. The services will be effective January 24, 2018, through June 30, 2018. This agreement establishes the procedures, utilization, and delivery of services for both consortium and non-consortium members. | |

Contracted Services will be funded by the ESOL Online Consortium. There is no additional cost to the district and the agreement provides Hillsborough County teachers opportunities to participate in ESOL online courses at no charge. | |
