| Approve the Agreement Between the Tampa Metropolitan YMCA and the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida, to Provide Snacks for the Success Afterschool Programs (Academic Support and Federal Programs Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| Student Nutrition Services (SNS) has been asked to provide healthy snacks to selected school sites where the Tampa Metropolitan YMCA (YMCA) sponsors Success Afterschool Programs. The YMCA's best practice is to serve fresh produce whenever possible for snacks. The YMCA has worked in partnership with SNS to develop a menu where fresh produce is served frequently. SNS staff will distribute the snacks to students participating in the afterschool program.
The term of this agreement is in effect from August 10, 2016, through May 26, 2017. The signed agreement was received by SNS on July 28, 2016, which results in requesting Board approval after the fact. |
