SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Spot Survey 4.7 for Classroom Addition at Sickles High School
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Florida Statute 1013.31 requires all school districts to submit an Educational Plant Survey (EPS) once every five years to the Florida Department of Education (FDOE). The survey establishes the condition of existing facilities, and makes recommendations for repairs, major renovations, remodeling, and capacity improvements based on actual and anticipated needs. As projects not in the original EPS become necessary, the School Board is required to amend the EPS by submitting a "spot survey" to FDOE. Previously, capacity constructed with local funds (impact fees) was not required to be shown in the EPS nor were individual spot surveys required to be approved by the School Board. A recent change in State Statute has modified that process. On June 10, 2014, the School Board approved the District's 2015-2019 FDOE 5-Year Educational Plant Survey 4.1. A spot survey is now required to amend this survey, for the 12 classroom addition at Sickles High School. On November 14, 2017, the School Board approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for this classroom addition project at Sickles High School. |
