SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with Bellwether Consulting, LLC, for the Evaluation of the Investing in Innovation (i3) Fund Grant Project (Office of Strategy Management)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The i3 Grant funds a partnership with the University of South Florida to implement a teacher residency program to prepare and support teachers working in high-needs schools.  This agreement for evaluation services is recommended in order to fulfill the i3 requirement for a third-party evaluation consultant for the 2017/18 school year during the fourth program period of the grant.  Grant evaluation services include the following:  evaluation design assistance, data analyses, and a comprehensive Annual Performance Evaluation report.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $60,000 will be available in the i3 funds for evaluation services.  For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 3437.  As of December 11, 2017, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $60,000.
EVALUATION
The Office of Strategy Management has direct supervision of the selected external evaluator, oversees the evaluation activities, tracks progress, and ensures reporting compliance as well as transmission of all required reports to the funding agency.
