Approve Agreement for Technical Services with Mariann Schmudde for the Evaluation of the Paraprofessional Accelerated Teaching Highway (PATH) Transition to Teaching Grant Project (Office of Teaching and Learning)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The PATH grant project funds support the Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) initiative to provide support for paraprofessionals pursuing full teacher certification.  This agenda item approves evaluator services for the fourth year of this five-year grant. Grant evaluation services include the following: data analyses and a comprehensive Annual Performance Report evaluation in compliance with funding agency requirements.

The provider, Mariann Schmudde, who has provided exemplary evaluation services for the project during the first four years of PATH implementation, will continue to perform evaluation services as an independent evaluator for activities completed during the 2015/2016 project year. The provider will conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis as part of the completion of a comprehensive evaluation generating findings and recommendations to guide ongoing program implementation and providing annual project performance reporting in compliance with program funding agency requirements.

Funds in the amount of $25,000.00 will be available in the PATH Transition to Teaching Grant Project. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 2715. As of Wednesday, August 17, 2016, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $26,306.62.
EVALUATION
The Coordinator of Grant Evaluations, Assessment and Accountability Department, has direct supervision of the selected external evaluator.  The Coordinator oversees the evaluation activities, tracks progress, and ensures reporting compliance as well as transmission of all required reports to the funding agency.
