SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with Chess Nut Society, LLC to Teach Chess Strategies for Staff Associated with the Hillsborough County Out-of-School Time (HOST) Program (Academic Support and Federal Programs Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Chess Nut Society, LLC will provide HOST staff training, coaching support, materials, and resources necessary to provide HOST elementary students with chess skills, which foster academic success and positive youth development.  This program will be implemented in approximately 100 sites for the 2016/2017 school year.

Funds in the amount of $15,000.00 will be available in the HOST budget. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 4302. As of Wednesday, October 12, 2016, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $17,799,809.25.
