SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Proposed Attendance Boundary Changes for Sessums and Boyette Springs Elementary Schools
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Due to current overcrowding (103% of capacity) and continued future growth approved within the Sessums Elementary School attendance boundary, an approved but unbuilt residential development (414 future residential units) located north of Leonard Ave, west of McMullen Road, east of Riverview High School, and south of Boyette Road is proposed to be reassigned from Sessums Elementary School to Boyette Springs Elementary School, effective for the 2016-17 school year. A portion of the project already falls within the Boyette Springs attendance boundary.  This proposal will bring the entire future community into one school attendance boundary.

The property is currently in the preliminary plat stage with Hillsborough County and the residential community is under the control of the homebuilder/developer who has been notified of this proposal.

No current elementary students will be impacted by the proposed change.
