EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This project is being planned by the architectural firm of Elements, Inc. On September 9, 2003, the Board appointed the construction management firm of Allstate Construction. The scope of work provides for construction of a prototype four classroom Head Start facility at Sulphur Springs Elementary School. This scope will be accomplished under the terms of the existing agreements for the Head Start facility at Potter Elementary School.
Approval of the guaranteed price will provide a maximum cost for the facility. Project completion is scheduled for February 16, 2006.
ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)
Critical Success Factor 6.a.8 – Provide sufficient student stations to ensure uninterrupted student learning and data gathering as measured by District Operational Goals plan.
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Construction cost is warranted at $827,497. The construction budget is $827,497. One hundred percent of the funding will be provided through federal dollars that come through the Head Start Grantee Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners and then contracted to the School District of Hillsborough County.
