SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Agreement for Technical Services with Infinity Enterprises, Inc. (Information and Technology Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Information Services Department is short staffed due to the retirement of the programmer analyst generally tasked to support the District's assessment data needs. A significant increase in the department's workload is caused by the heavy demand for data and reports required for the 2005-2006 school year, as well as the implementation of the new Stanford 10. Even though other programmers will work in this area, in addition to their responsibilities, outside assistance is required to meet the needs of the District.

The agreement for technical services with Infinity Enterprises is required to assist district and school personnel with the Stanford 10 implementation and support the District's student data reporting needs. This is the first technical agreement with Infinity Enterprises this fiscal year.

ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)

Goal 1.d.l: Develop a School Board-approved district-wide data collection system to monitor student achievement.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

The cost for this technical assistance shall not exceed $22,000.00 payable at the rate of $55.00 per billable hour. Funding for these expenses are from Fund 101, Site 9750, Project 5002, Program 620, Function 7750, Object 310.
