SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The existing Carver Center must be razed to accommodate the widening of the adjacent interstate highway. As a consequence, the programs must be relocated to another facility. The former site of the Bryan Alternative Center has been identified the most suitable location for the replacement facility. The Board previously commissioned the architectural firm of Howard & Associates, Architects, PA to expedite the adaptation of an existing design to house the Carver programs. The Board approved the previously appointed firm of J.O. DeLotto and Sons, Inc. to manage the construction of this new facility.
Approval of the guaranteed price will provide a maximum cost for the facility. Project completion is scheduled for January 26, 2006.
