THONOTOSASSA & FOLSOM ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
PUMP STATION, FORCE MAIN, AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT ABANDONMENT PROJECT
AWARD OF CONTRACT

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This project is being planned by the engineering firm of Key Engineering Associates, Inc. The scope of work provides for the installation of a new pump station and force main, the abandonment of current wastewater treatment plant at Thonotosassa Elementary and the modification/upgrade of the pump station at Folsom Elementary School. The project was advertised and bids received (see attachment). The low bidder, US Water Service, Inc., is recommended. The project will begin once Hillsborough County Right-of-Way Use Permit is received. The projected starting date will be October 31, 2005, with a projected completion date of July 31, 2006, at 273 calendar days.

Critical Success Factor 6.a.7 - Provide school facility maintenance that allows for uninterrupted student learning (proper electricity, A/C, etc.) as measured by District Operational Goals plan.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

Total funds in the amount of $375,000 are included in the District Capital Outlay: 2005-06 2 Mill. The bid amount is $347,269.
