Recognition of Lee Academy of World Studies and Technology, Recipient of Intel and Scholastic Schools of Distinction Award for Technology Excellence

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Lee Academy of World Studies and Technology has received the Schools of Distinction Award for Technology Excellence sponsored by the Intel Innovation in Education initiative and Scholastic, Inc. The award is based on comprehensive programs addressing technology, strong involvement of parents and the community, ongoing professional development, great teamwork, and for consistent achievement of high academic standards. Lee Academy of World Studies and Technology is one of 20 schools nationwide designated for this prestigious award.

The award includes a trophy, $500,000 worth of curriculum materials, software and hardware, and $10,000 cash to the school. Lee Academy of World Studies and Technology is featured on the cover of the October/November 2005 issue of “Scholastic Administr@tor” magazine.
