SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Petty Check/Change Funds for Philip Shore Elementary School of the Arts - Change of Bank (Business Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Petty Check/Change Funds are established or altered with School Board approval in compliance with State Board of Education rules Chapter 6a.1.057. These are impressed funds transferred from District budget to the schools so that each school can make emergency purchases and have change to operate lunchrooms and athletic events. In the case of purchases, as funds are expended, the school submits receipts to Accounts Payable. The school is then reimbursed, and the school's budget is reduced by the amount of the purchase.

Philip Shore Elementary School of the Arts requests School Board permission to close bank account number 9402673401 at Fifth Third Bank and to open a new bank account at Wachovia Bank. Signers will be:
  1. Shana H. Menia, Principal
  2. Barbara A. Mercer, Assistant Principal
  3. Jeannette W. Williams, Principal's Secretary
  4. Helena G. Tirelli, Secretary I
