Approve Addition of Components to the Master Plan for Inservice Education (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Florida Statue Section 1012.98 requires that each district school board shall develop and maintain an inservice educational training program. Descriptions of training programs offered for inservice credit are incorporated into the Master Plan for Inservice Education. The revision of the Master Plan for Inservice Education is School Board and Florida Department of Education approved annually.

ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)

Goal 5: The district will eliminate the FCAT achievement gap by a minimum of 10 points as reported by No Child Left Behind. Critical Success Factors 3D: Provide staff development programs that match instructional delivery strategies with diverse student achievement needs.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

Funds from the Florida Department of Education Training Categorical, $2,400,000 annually, support the Master Plan for Inservice Education.

EVALUATION

Components of the Master Inservice Plan are evaluated annually. Upon the District's receipt of student achievement data from the Florida Department of Education, the evaluation is conducted.
