Approve agreement For the Transfer of School Bus Title to Mount Pleasant Charter School.

Effective for the 2006/07 school year, the Transportation Department will no longer transport students for the Charter Schools. The District is willing to support the Charter School by allowing the Mount Pleasant Charter School to use one bus, identified in the agreement, for the sole purpose of transporting the Charter School’s students. The Charter School will be responsible for all costs associated with the operation, upkeep, maintenance, and repair of the bus. Mount Pleasant Charter School will return the bus to the Board upon the termination of this Agreement in the condition in which it was received except for normal wear and aging.

The school bus is a surplus bus scheduled for auction. Upon return of District property, the bus will be auctioned by the approved vendor. Earnings will be returned to the District.
