This project was planned by the architectural firm of Carruthers and Associates. On November 9, 2004, the Board appointed the construction management firm of Manhattan Construction. The scope of work provides for replacement of the classroom building toilet rooms with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant toilet rooms, replacement of classroom vinyl composition tile (VCT) flooring and cabinets, repair and painting of exterior and interior walls, replacement of the classroom buildings gas-fired heaters with a package heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) system, replacement of window wall transom panels and reglazing of the window wall, and installation of new intercom and fire alarm systems throughout the facility.

Change Order No. 1 provides a credit for the direct purchase of materials by the District. Change Order No. 2 provides for painting, exterior handrail at the Media Center, and various fire safety modifications.
