Approve Payroll Schedules for 2006-2007 Fiscal Year (Business Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Payroll Schedules are relied upon for the issuance of compensation to district personnel. Payroll Schedules are based on the previously Board approved school calendar and the work calendars prepared by the Division of Human Resources. As these pay schedules are being submitted much sooner than normal, they are subject to change.
The first payday for 10 month instructional personnel will be Friday, August 4, 2006, for a 3-day payment. The 2006-2007 payroll schedules reflect the same standard biweekly pay periods for all personnel. In the past, less than 12 month instructional employees were paid on a separate payday from 12 month and instructional support personnel. Attachment A contains important points regarding these schedules.

We will see a small cost savings due to the reduction of accounts payable checks written or wire transfers completed for third parties (tax shelters, unions, credit unions, health insurance, etc.).
EVALUATION
The payroll schedules are reviewed throughout the year. Changes in work calendars may cause adjustments to the payroll schedules.
