SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Environmental Protection Commission of Hillsborough County has requested a Deed of Conservation Easement as part of a Mitigation Wetland Agreement.
The granting of this easement is required to prevent adverse impacts to water quality and natural resources, including fish, wildlife, and wetland or other surface water functions. The wetland area was enlarged at Wharton to replace wetlands that were destroyed at the Bryant-Farnell project. The wetlands which were destroyed on the Bryant-Farnell site could not be replaced on that site due to the limited acreage, hence the Environmental Protection Commission (EPC) allowed the school district to enlarge an existing wetland at Wharton.
