Approve Amendment #2 of the Contract Between the School District of Hillsborough County Early Childhood School Readiness Programs and Northside Mental Health Center for Care Options. (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)

By virtue of this contract, Northside Mental Health Center for Care Options delivers inclusion training and technical assistance to child care personnel, licensed family child care home operators, and licensed or license exempt child care center operators. The term of the contract is July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006. Amendment #2 is written to reduce the budget for salaries by $11,000 due to the efficient collaborative efforts of Northside Mental Health Center for Care Options with other community agencies in providing these inclusion services to child care providers.

Goal 5 - The district will eliminate the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) achievement gap by a minimum of 10 percentage points as reported by No Child Left Behind.

The original budget of $45,000 is reduced by $11,000, making the modified budget total $34,000. The $11,000 will be reallocated to cover additional inclusion services performed by Hillsborough County Public Schools Early Childhood School Readiness Programs.

This contract amendment is reflected in the year-end financial statements which are audited annually by the Hillsborough County School Readiness Coalition doing business as the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County as prescribed by law. The Board will receive the audit reports when they are completed. The time of completion will vary based upon the activities of the auditors.
