Approve Updated "Guidelines for School Improvement - 2006/2007" (School Improvement and Accountability)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Florida Statutes require the School Board to annually review its accountability procedures. The attached "Guidelines for School Improvement - 2006/2007" document has been updated to include all recommended amendments, timeline for training, and forms templates. The attached Best Practices 2006/2007 provides step-by-step procedures to ensure that each School Improvement Plan is academically focused and reflects current year data and needs assessments.

The "Guidelines for School Improvement - 2006-2007" document has been updated and approved by the Central Facilitating Team for Accountability, appropriate district staff, and a committee of widespread representation from all stakeholders.

All changes have been highlighted to assist the reader.
