Approve Fee Schedule for EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAM, Family and Consumer Sciences, Effective July 1, 2006 (Technical and Career Education)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Early Childhood Education Program in the Family and Consumer Sciences Department operates preschool "Little Schools" at high schools to provide the technical and career education job-preparatory high school students with hands-on experience related to the child care industry. Preschool-age children in the community attend school approximately 36 hours per month. Parents/guardians of the preschool children pay a nominal fee that provides supplies for the program activities.
The current fee schedule has been in effect since 1995. The recommended Fee Schedule effective July 1, 2006, includes a $5 increase from $35 to $40 per month.

The job-preparatory training programs earn FTE and are included in the district general operating budget. The nominal fees collected are for the preschool program supplies. There is no additional cost to the District.
