Approve Continuation Grant Application to the Florida Department of Education, and if Approved, Accept Funds for ADULT EDUCATION AND FAMILY LITERACY GEOGRAPHICAL PROGRAM - FOURTH YEAR EXTENSION, 2006/2007 - $854,047 (Adult and Community Education)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Florida Department of Education, Division of Community Colleges and Workforce Education, has issued a request for applications to continue supplemental funding from July 1, 2006, to June 30, 2007, for Adult Education and Family Literacy programs.

The District seeks Year Four Extension funds of $854,047.

Attached is a summary of the educational services provided and utilization of grant funds.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

If approved, grant funds of $854,047 will be included in the divisional special revenue/federal programs budget. Indirect costs are included in the grant budget.
