SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Continuation Grant Application to the Florida Department of Education, and if Approved, Accept Funds for ADULT EDUCATION AND FAMILY LITERACY, ENGLISH LITERACY AND CIVICS EDUCATION PROGRAM - Fourth Year Extension, 2006/2007 - $189,200 (Adult and Community Education)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Florida Department of Education, Division of Community Colleges and Workforce Education, has issued a request for applications to continue supplemental funding from July 1, 2006, to June 30, 2007, for English Literacy and Civics Education programs.

The District seeks Year Four Extension funds of $189,200.

Attached is a summary of educational services provided and utilization of grant funds.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

If approved, grant funds of $189,200 will be included in the divisional special revenue/federal programs budget. Indirect costs is included in the grant budget.
