SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Yearly, the district adds over 2,000 new teachers of which at least 50% are at the elementary level. Elementary teachers are faced with being prepared to teach all content areas. For this reason, the elementary staff provides this opportunity to introduce new teachers to the district to the expectations, content, and pedagogy necessary to begin the year successfully. Additionally, more support is provided for teachers throughout the school year at all levels. The total number of instructors needed will be determined by the number of teachers participating in the training.
As the total number of instructors to be hired is not known at this time, permission is requested to add or delete trainer names to the attached list as needed.
