SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The District Technology Plan is scheduled for update next year for period 2007-2010. The E-rate program requires that projects submitted for funding be a part of the current district plan approved by the State. The current State approved plan requires these updates in order to qualify the new E-rate project for reimbursement. The attached project supplements address network electronic upgrades at 58 school sites, wireless security, implementing the District's wide area network and support automation. E-rate projects require competitive bidding processes in order to qualify for discounts.
