EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
High School/High Tech is an initiative of the Department of Labor, Office of Disability Employment Policy, and is duplicated in 28 states. The goal of HS/HT is to help high school students with disabilities prepare and advance in postsecondary education or vocational training. This goal is accomplished through a comprehensive program providing career counseling, coursework counseling, college visits, internships, corporate sight visits, and job-shadowing in technology-related fields. This grant will serve approximately 50 high school students with disabilities.
During the 2005-2006 school year 61 students participated with 28 companies/agencies involved.
