CLAIR MEL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL - RENOVATION
ACCEPTANCE OF PROJECT

This project was planned by the architectural firm of Carruthers & Associates Architects. On March 12, 2002, the Board appointed the construction management firm of Skanska USA Building, Inc. The scope of work provided for new flooring, ceiling tiles, lighting fixtures, door hardware, signage, electrical room, and intercom, fire alarm, security and data network systems. It also provided for HVAC upgrades, interior/exterior painting campus-wide, and remodeling of clinic and gang toilets. The parking lot was revised to include a canopied pick-up/drop-off area and handicapped ramps. Landscaping and irrigation was provided as needed.

The architect advises that the referenced project is substantially complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.

Critical Success Factor 6.a.8 - Provide sufficient student stations to ensure uninterrupted student learning and data gathering as measured by District Operations Goals plan.

This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Community Investment Tax.
