SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approval of Districtwide Comprehensive Safety Inspections Annual Report.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Florida Statute 1013.12 mandates an annual comprehensive fire safety, casualty, and sanitation inspection be conducted at facilities under the jurisdiction of the School Board. Two hundred sixty-one inspections were conducted during the 2005-2006 school year. The completed inspections are available for review at the District Safety Office, and a copy will be forwarded to the State Fire Marshal’s Office (as required by Florida Statue 1013.12). Deficiencies that posed an imminently dangerous condition were immediately reported by the Fire Safety Inspector for priority correction. Each deficiency in this category was expedited upon receipt and resolved--none remain at this time. The consolidated inspection report is attached.
