On September 7, 2004, the Board appointed Long & Associates and R.J. Bunbury Company, Inc. to provide design and construction management services for classroom additions at Crestwood, Egypt Lake, Mendenhall, and Tampa Bay Boulevard Elementary Schools. Roosevelt Elementary School was omitted due to budget and cost issues. The scope of work provides for the addition of 8 primary classrooms and replacement of the fire alarm and intercom systems throughout the existing facility.

Approval of the guaranteed price will provide a maximum cost for the facility. Project completion is scheduled for May 16, 2007.

Critical Success Factor 6.a.8 - Provide sufficient student stations to ensure uninterrupted student learning and data gathering as measured by District Operational Goals plan.

Construction cost is warranted at $1,539,136. The project is currently funded at $1,539,136. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Classrooms for Kids.
