RENOVATION
APPROVAL OF SCHEMATIC DESIGN PHASE

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On April 4, 2006, the Board approved the appointment of John J. McKenna Architect P.A. for architectural services. The scope of renovation includes new roofing, air conditioning equipment and ductwork, upgraded low voltage and electrical systems, flooring, canopy for Building 1, handicap accessibility modifications, and reconfiguration of existing bus and parent driveways.

Approval of the schematic design phase will allow the architect to proceed with design development documents. Project completion is scheduled for December 2007.

Critical Success Factor 6.a.8 - Provide sufficient student stations to ensure uninterrupted student learning and data gathering as measured by District Operational Goals plan.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

The project is currently funded at $4,350,000. The estimate of probable cost is $4,350,000. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Community Investment Tax.
