EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This renewal contract authorizes our District to continue to store and administer the General Educational Development Test. All appropriate testing security measures are strictly enforced to ensure the integrity of testing administration so that the District may continue to serve adults through GED testing services. The locations are established to provide the most convenient suitable test sites and all sites have been inspected and approved by the GED administrator from the Florida Department of Education.
During the 2005/2006 school year, 3,972 individuals took the GED Test; 2,190 passed all sections of the test and were awarded a State of Florida High School Diploma. The GED Test is administered at the following locations: Brewster Technical Center, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department (various jail sites), East Bay High School, Learey Technical Center, Plant City High School, Gaither High School, South County Career Center, and the University of South Florida.
