Approve Renewal Contract with West Coast Umpires Association for Athletic Contests, 2006/2007 - $31,805 (Curriculum and Instruction Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Each year the School District negotiates a contract with West Coast Umpires Association for the purpose of providing baseball umpires for scheduled high school contests. The renewal contract includes increased fees of $2 per official/per game for travel due to increased fuel costs.
Professional athletic officials ensure unbiased and fair officiating at athletic events.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
The contract amount of $31,805 includes the officiating fee increases of $2 per official/per game for a total increase of $3,154 over last year’s contract. The $31,805 contract cost is included in the Division of Curriculum and Instruction Athletics Department budget. There is no additional cost to the District.
