DEMOLITION AND REPLACEMENT
APPROVAL OF SCHEMATIC DESIGN AND DESIGN DEVELOPMENT PHASES

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On March 8, 2005, the Board appointed the architectural firm of Gould Evans Associates with Manhattan Construction Company providing construction management services. The scope of work includes the demolition and replacement of the Administration, Media, and classroom buildings. Portables will be provided to house students and faculty until completion of the replacement facilities.

Approval of the schematic design and design development phases will allow the architect to proceed with construction documents. Project completion is scheduled for the 2007-08 school year.

ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)

Goal 6 - All schools in the district will be assigned a state grade of A, B, or C.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

The project is currently funded at $6,490,796. The estimate of probable cost is $6,480,469. This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Community Investment Tax, Capital Outlay & Debt Service, and Classrooms for Kids.
