SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Addition of Components to the Master Plan for Inservice Education.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Florida Statue Section 1012.98 requires that each district school board shall develop and maintain an inservice educational training program. Descriptions of training programs offered for inservice credit are incorporated into the Master Plan for Inservice Education. The revision of the Master Plan for Inservice Education is approved annually by the School Board and Florida Department of Education.

ANNUAL DISTRICT GOAL(S) AND CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTOR(S)

Goal 5: The district will eliminate the FCAT achievement gap by a minimum of 10 points as reported by No Child Left Behind. Critical Success Factors 3D: Provide staff development programs that match instructional delivery strategies with diverse student achievement needs.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)

Funds from the District's Training Budget total $2,4000,000 annually. A combination of $2,400,000 of District training funds and $2,924,994 of Title II funds equal $5,324,994 annually available to support the Master Plan for Inservice Education.
